Tavistock Lives is published in partnership with the Tavistock Clinic and encompasses memoir, biography, and autobiography. The intended focus is on the lives of those who have trained or worked at the Tavistock and have taken psychoanalytically informed approaches to mental health to a range of professional settings. It seeks to illuminate how people’s professional lives in mental health have been shaped by and have shaped their personal narratives. The intertwining of personal and professional perspectives, together with the unique insights the Tavistock approach brings to psychological disturbance, allows the publication of accessible and popular books to take Tavistock ideas to new readers.
